Well, I really wish I could be more courageous. Not for others, but for myself. I want to be less shy and be able to speak on my own behalf without worry. One reason why I help others rather than myself is because my self-confidence is not high. At all. I believe in myself, just not enough. I usually think of my problems or thoughts as irrelevant and let others come first.

Ok serious answer time. It depends on the type of essay. Well firstly, I try to read the question or prompt again to make sure I understand correctly. Normally, for an informative essay, I write out the 2-4 main points I want to address and that I have some prior knowledge to.
